Festivities are what make India interesting. It’s beautiful to see people from all walks of life coming together to celebrate something they believe in. This year, however, due to the nationwide lockdown and social distancing, festivals aren’t being celebrated with the same
grandeur.

That hasn’t proved to be a hindrance for people celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr this year though. Eid ul-Fitr is an auspicious festival celebrated by Muslims all round the world. The occasion marks the top of the Islamic holy month fasting of Ramadan. It is believed that Prophet
Muhammad got the primary revelation of the Holy Quran during this month. People fast all month
long.

Although people can not hug each other and spread the warmth and joy in person, as usual, they are making use of social media to wish their loved ones, fans and friends. Celebrities have taken to their social media to wish their fans and followers ‘Eid Mubarak’.

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan took his social media to wish his fans by sharing a photo collage of his character from his 1983 film ‘Coolie’ and from the upcoming film ‘Gulabo Sitabo’. alongside the photo, he wrote, “Eid Mubarak … Peace harmony and love for all.”

In a tweet, the actor shared a picture of himself and wrote, “Eid Mubarak to all and the prayers on this auspicious day for peace…For harmony, permanently health, for friendship and love…Forever. Bring us together in peace and love and within the continuity of brotherhood
sisterhood and family. Be one, be in one.”

Jalebi actress, Rhea Chakraborty also took to Instagram and post a picture of herself in traditional wear and wished everyone Eid Mubarak. Pyaar ka Punchnama actress, Nushrat Bharucha also posted a few pictures of herself and her family celebrating the festival and
wrote,” Happy Bohri Eid to all!! ✨✨From my family to yours 🌜”

Indian TV actress, Hina Khan also posted a short video of all her family members wishing everyone Eid Mubarak on her Instagram story. Punjabi Singer, Guru Randhawa also took to Instagram and posted a picture of himself in a thobe(Arabic attire for men) and wrote,
“Wishing everyone a very Happy Eid.

Eid diyan lakh lakh vadhayian sareyan nu.

We all are same and God Is one ❤”

Even Abhishek Bachchan took to his Twitter account to wish his fans. He wrote, “#eidmubaarak to all celebrating. Peace and love.” Filmmaker Shoojit Sircar and actor Amit Sadh too shared their wishes on social media.

Mallika Sherawat also took to Instagram to wish her fans and followers. She wrote, “Wishing a blissful & peaceful Eid to everyone celebrating. May this Eid brings happiness, prosperity & health #eidmubarak #eid #eid2020 #celebration #peace #health #prosperity”.

Pakistani cricketer, Wasim Akram also took to Twitter and wrote, “I just wish this year I could say to everyone Eid Mubarak and not need to give warnings, condolences or tell people to stay safe. I just hope during this minute, immediately most are asleep, in touch with their loved
ones and praying for a better tomorrow.”

It has been difficult for everyone this year, fighting with a pandemic, losing our loved ones but the spirit of these holy festivals lead us to believe in a brighter, happier tomorrow. That we can get through it together. With that, Eid Mubarak to everyone out there!
