Anupam Kher remembers veteran actor Amrish Puri, Check here for the post

Indian cinema has two very talented superstars Amrish Puri and Anupam Kher, their contribution towards Indian cinema is always remarkable. But unluckily Amrish Puri might not be with us today but he will be alive in the hearts of his fans forever. On remembering veteran actor Amrish Puri, Anupam Kher shared a cover page of a magazine as his Instagram feed.

Captioning the picture he wrote very heartfelt nostalgic lines” I miss #amrishpuriji. He was the gentlest person. I had the privilege to be friends with. He was calm and compassionate. He had a childlike innocence and yet he played the toughest villains in Indian and International Cinema. One of the most professional actors. Punctual and disciplined. He would often say to me, “yaar! Tu bada naughty bacha hai!! ” Not many people have called me a bachcha (young boy). It felt great and I would reply,” Amrish Ji,tussi great ho ” And he
would giggle like a baby. Amrish Ji, you will always be great !!”

Once Amrish Puri gave auditions for a hero but got rejections because of his looks. After that, he gave us some iconic villainous roles in many movies. He acted in more than 400 films. He also bagged three Filmfare awards for best supporting actor and 3 Filmfare awards
for best villain actor for the movies like koyla, Ghatak and Gadar, Ek prem Katha and many other awards.

He is always remembered for his iconic performance as Mogambo in Mr India, Bhujang in Tridev, Thakur Durjan Singh in Karan Arjun, Mayor Ashraf Ali in Gadar Ek prem Katha and many more.

He always loved homemade simple food. Even if he had a shoot in the morning at 6 am he made sure about his Dabba. Sometimes his co-actors made fun of him for this. But he simply loved his dal, chapati, saag and salad. For him, his voice matters a lot due to which he always preferred simple hygienic food.

His dominant screen presence and baritone voice made him different from other villains. His art of delivering dialogues is like a blessing for his fan following. Dialogues like “jaa Simran ja, jee le apni Zindagi from DDLJ “,” Mogambo khush Hua from Mr India ” have a different fan
base.

He will always remain alive in Indian Cinema and always known for his contribution to Indian cinema. The actor has won the hearts of millions across the nation. Not only Anupam Kher but each and every person who loves Indian cinema loves him.
