Kangana Ranaut calls Saroj Khan ‘a rare artist and an exceptional guru’ as she mourns her death

The sad news of Saroj Khan’s death has left Bollywood in grief. Kangana Ranaut and several celebs like Madhuri Dixit, Amitabh Bachchan, Taapsee Pannu, Nimrat Kaur, Rakul Preet Singh, John Abraham, Abhishek Bachchan & others have shown anguish over the loss of the fabulous choreographer.

Kangana’s team took to social media to share a photo of ‘Masterji’ and Kangana from the sets of Manikarnika. In the photo, late Saroj Khan could be seen talking to Kangana and explaining details about work.

Taking to Twitter, her team wrote, “A rare artist & an exceptional Guru, #SarojKhan ji has played crucial roles in many superstars journeys, giving memorable choreographies in Jugni from TWM, Ghani Bawari from TWMR & very recent lullaby Taktaki from Manikarnika, Kangana will always be indebted to her contribution.”

Three-time National Award-winning Veteran Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan passed away of cardiac arrest at a Bandra hospital, she was 71. The legendary choreographer was admitted to the hospital with breathing and diabetes-related complaints on June 17.

Following her hospitalization, mandatory coronavirus test was done for which she tested negative. Her daughter confirmed that she suffered a cardiac arrest and breathed her last at 1.52 am on Friday. In a career span of over four decades, Saroj Khan choreographed more than 2000 songs. Her last song was Madhuri Dixit-starrer ‘Tabaah Hogaye’ from the film ‘Kalank’ in 2019.
